On 27th May 2021, UMP Library held an online training conducted by Access Dunia via Zoom application at 2.30 p.m. The trainer was Mr. David Ong, the Senior Sales Executive.
The objectives of this training were to help students understand how to get started with Turnitin. The training also aims to create awareness on the importance of preventing plagiarism during their course.
In addition, the session drew a total of 111 audience members. They learned how to use this software to create an account, enroll in additional classes, and submit papers. Aside from that, they also can view the percentage of their Similarity Report in the Assignment Inbox and if the instructor gives feedback on their paper, they are able to view it after the post date assignment has passed.
A post-training Q&A session revealed that the participants understood the meaning and necessity of applying citation and referencing in writing and how to avoid plagiarizing. The session ended at 3.30 p.m. In addition, we hope that the students will gain benefits from this programme.
