Pekan Library Zone Wins Second Place in the 2025 EKSA Best Zone Awards - 16th June 2026

PEKAN, 19 June 2026 – The Pekan Library Zone of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) was recognised for its commitment to workplace excellence after winning Second Place in the Best Zone Category at the 2025 Public Sector Conducive Ecosystem (EKSA) Awards, presented during the UMPSA Quality and Innovation Day 2026 at Dewan Cendekia Siswa, UMPSA Pekan.

The award was received by the Pekan Library Zone EKSA Coordinator, Sufarini Mohd Sudin, together with the Chief Librarian, Kamariah Gono, on behalf of the Zone.

As the second-place winner, the Pekan Library Zone received a trophy, a certificate of appreciation, and a cash prize of RM1,500.

The recognition reflects the Zone's consistent efforts in implementing EKSA practices and its active involvement in programmes organised by the Centre for Strategic Management and Quality Management (PPSK).

Throughout the evaluation period, the Pekan Library Zone participated in a range of initiatives, including the EKSA Creative Video Competition, Gotong-Royong Programme, Internal EKSA Audit and EKSA Go Green Competition.

Chairperson of the Pekan Library Zone EKSA Committee, Nor Ashikin Ahmad, described the achievement as the result of strong teamwork and the dedication shown by every member of the Zone.

"This recognition belongs to every member of the Pekan Library Zone. It reflects the commitment, cooperation and hard work that everyone has contributed throughout the year. I sincerely appreciate the time, effort and ideas shared by the team in making our EKSA initiatives successful. I hope this achievement motivates us to continue improving, strengthen our EKSA culture and work together towards even greater success in the future," she said.

The achievement reflects UMPSA Library's ongoing commitment to fostering a conducive, well-managed and sustainable workplace through the effective implementation of EKSA, while continuously enhancing service quality and supporting the University's aspiration for organisational excellence.
